Inspiration through the Lorax

Mimi is an After-school Facilitator for grades 2 and 3. When asked who her hero is she quickly responded with a unique answer, the Lorax. Mimi sees a hero as someone who inspires others to be better people in their own lives, just as the Lorax did for the forest. “The Lorax did not care who you were, he protected everyone.” The activities in our Creative Learning Curriculum that are based on Dr. Seuss’ book, The Lorax, are always fun. We make mustaches, unless rocks, read the story, and speak for the trees! It is a time that inspires us and that many children remember as they grow up.
