This year, After-school participants from grades 6-9 visited Hluleka Nature Reserve in Eastern Cape. It was a trip of many firsts, such as leaving home, having a sleepover with friends, or kayaking in the ocean! The group read stories that helped them reflect and discuss situations in their own lives about empathy or self-esteem and threw forgiveness rocks in the ocean!
