Creating a Hero Book gives us a deeper look at the meaning of the word “hero.” In doing so, we learn to see ourselves and others as heroes in our own lives. The book is comprised of perspectives and beliefs that we value and celebrate and therefore, shape our own identities! It is a great way for usto start the year in our After-school Programme.
Before beginning her work as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator at Thanda, Alicia was a Healthy Youth Advisor for the U.S. Peace Corps in South Africa's neighboring country, Lesotho. In 2014, she graduated from the University of Denver in Colorado, USA with a degree in International Health and Development.
