To prepare for Heritage Day, a South African holiday on September 24th, After-school participants discussed culture – how they developed and how theirs relates to other people and cultures around the world. These important discussions expand our perspective and worldview. Their colourful drawings symbolise an important part of their culture.
Before beginning her work as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator at Thanda, Alicia was a Healthy Youth Advisor for the U.S. Peace Corps in South Africa's neighboring country, Lesotho. In 2014, she graduated from the University of Denver in Colorado, USA with a degree in International Health and Development.
