The KZN Science Centre recently visited us and brought with them a whole lot of knowledge and fun! None of the schools in our community have access to a science lab, so you can imagine how excited we were to gain practical experience in conducting science experiments!

The KZN Science Centre team first gave our facilitators a few lessons on ways to incorporate science experiments into our After-school Programme’s Creative Learning Curriculum. We even learned how to extract DNA from wheat germ! Following our training, the Science Centre ran programmes that allowed learners to engage in activities related to our curriculum. To finish the whole day off, we were treated to an awesome science show put on by the Science Centre. A big thanks to the KZN Science Centre team for making the trip down to us and for putting together such a fun day!
