When we create Hero Books in class it gives us a deeper look at the meaning of the word, ‘hero.’ In doing so we learn to see ourselves and others as heroes in our own lives. The book is comprised of perspectives and beliefs that we value and celebrate and therefore, shape our own identities! The pages are colourful, hand-drawn, and all unique for each individual student. This is a three week long activity that usually happens at the beginning of each year, so we start out our year feeling confident and with fresh perspectives!
