Join Us in Cultivating Empowered, Resilient Lifelong Learners.
At Thanda, we holistically support rural youth through creative learning and ultimately, cultivate empowered, resilient lifelong learners. This holiday season, we are kicking off our next phase of growth by preparing the class of 2030 to learn, grow, and lead.
Watch this short video and read on to learn more about the #LearnGrowLead campaign and how you can make a difference.
The Problem
In South Africa, education is broken. The country continually ranks last, or near last, in global surveys on quality of education while the legacy of apartheid persists. These issues are compounded in rural areas where education is sub-par and children face torn social fabrics and unstable family structures that inhibit their physical, cognitive, and emotional growth—and leave them further and further behind.
The Solution
We know we need to do more. We know we need to go deeper. That’s why this holiday season, we aim to raise $16,500 to provide after school programming to 250 children, the class of 2030, to Learn Grown and Lead.
How You Can Make An Impact
As we look to the future, we look to our youth and we look to you. Watch this short video message from co-founders Angela and Tyler to learn how you can join us in providing creative learning afterschool programming.
Through December 31st we will be sharing stories from the class of 2030 and detailing the ways in which you can make a collective impact by preparing them to learn, grow and lead in their lives and in their communities. We hope you will follow along!
